Valberg - is one of the ancient cities of the administrative area of the Provence — Alpes — Côte d’Azur region, Department Alpes-Maritimes, with an exciting millennium history. The city that has not lost its way over time, and has found its place under the sun to shine today in its entire splendor.

Almost in the center of the National Park of Mercantour, at an altitude of 1700 m, in the woods (and about in one hour's drive from the Mediterranean Sea) Valberg is situated. As you know, it is a well-known ski resort.

The closest airport to this resort is in Nice at a distance of 85 km from it. So the guests can get there by bus in 1.5 hours. Valberg resort became popular back in 1936 with the introduction of the first «lift».

Guests usually stay in small 2* and 3* hotels offering spacious family rooms with several bedrooms and a kitchen. But the most of prominent local hotels it is considered «Swiss Chalet». This is the oldest hotel right in the center of the spa village. There are many shops, cafes and modern luxury hotels there. All buildings are designed in the same style - a traditional Alpine chalet.

Supporters of winter recreation of «skiing» like to come to Valberg with the whole family: apart from having great snow covers for skiing and 90 km of ski slopes. There are twelve kilometers of trails for leisurely walks on snowshoes or on foot. Also, for tourists 25 km of route laid on the virgin slopes and cross-country skiing (21 km) are waiting.

Ski slopes even in the sunshine are covered with snow that provides by special «snow» guns. The highest point of the resort Valberg is at an altitude of 2100 m and here is the longest route which has a length of 5770 meters!
