Department Alpes-Maritimes

Mougins is one of the most picturesque small towns of Provence, spread out in the hills, pine forests, olive groves and cypress trees at the intersection with the road of Napoleon in the department of Alpes-Maritimes. The town is situated in close proximity (6-8 km) from Cannes with its gorgeous coastline and festivals, as well as from the capital of perfumes, Grasse. The population is about 20 thousand people.

An aerial view of the city resembles a golden key composed of yellowish-red-tiled roofs framed by green parks and gardens. As other Provençal towns Mougins has a well-preserved old town. Its delightful narrow streets winding and twisting in a spiral like lines in the sea shell move away from the centre and slip in waves down, then up to the suburbs. The fancy houses with bright shutters and arborvitae, plane trees, centuries-old olive trees along the streets delight the eye. Thanks to a certain distance from the centre of resort life of the French Riviera the town is distinguished by aura of peace and tranquillity. From the balconies decorated with flowers and greenery the beautiful views of the scenic hills and unique azure sea open, you can hear the birds singing and get dizzy from the fragrances infused with mountain herbs, cypress, sea cocktail ...
