In the south-east of France, in the depths of the Maritime Alps, beneath the blue sky, among the mossy stones the small medieval town of Berre-les-Alpes hids. It is very ancient, sometimes ascetic, quiet secluded place, where every hour is hearing the raucous fight of the clock on City Hall. Time is slowly flowing here. And sometimes it seems that it is stopped ...
The town of Berre-les-Alpes is located on a hill overlooking the valley of Spangle, between the Mediterranean and the Mercantour national park. Climbing the highest point of Berre-les-Alpes, you'll get a wonderful view: the Mediterranean, the river L'Authion, Mount Bego, Vallée des Merveilles, winding mountain road Col de Braus, Mont Agel and Férion.
In 1978 in these places British rock band «Queen» had vacationing, where they recorded a part of the album «Jazz». In Super Bear, a recording studio in Berre-les-Alpes, it was first sounded their song «Do not Stop Me Now». On this recording studio their music albums and hits wrote such as world music legends as Pink Floyd (The Wall, 1979), Kate Bush (Lionheart, 1977) and others.
Yo should stay in Berre-les-Alpes definitely at least in order to experience the genuine charm of the French heartland: the city is clean, authentic, buried in flowers, perfectly restored, with wonderful views and light scent of mimosa!
