Five kilometers northeast of Route Napoleon and 30 km from Grasse, in the high valley of the Lane, between hills and forests, the ancient town of Andon lies. It is located in the department of Alpes-Maritimes in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur.

Andon consists of three parts: Thorenc, Canaux and l'Audibergue. These three districts are represented as three trees on the emblem of the city.

Thorenc resort attracts tourists with diverse flora and fauna, it is sure to impress fans of nature and hiking trails. Thorenc is located at the foot of Col de Bleynie, where often can be seen paragliders, going down on their sails in the Lane Valley. Andon’ second village - the famous «Balcony of the Cote d'Azur»- is the winter ski resort of L'Audibergue, with a height of which it offers fantastic views on the Riviera. Regarding the third place, Canaux, is a part of Andon, where peace and good humor of its inhabitants can be compared only with their love of life: authentic houses, grocery shops and restaurants, flowering gardens. Not surprisingly, the locals call themselves differently - some supposed themselves «les andonnais», other «les thorencois» or «les canaussiens».
Area:
Andon - 54.3 km2
