The townspeople are proud of their incredibly beautiful nature and do a lot to keep it. The Department nature is, above all, the parks of Verdon and Luberon, the reserves of the Haute Provence and Mercantour and Durance and Bléone rivers with YubeyVerdon and Varconfluents. And also it is a lot of small rivers, waterfalls, lakes and caves, endless fields, forests and meadows, picturesque mountain tops and hills. Also, the Department is rich for thermal springs. The travellers get much positive and relaxation from staying in these lands: they enjoy the peace and quiet so desirable for urban residents that are violated only by the birdsong. They breathe unique mountain air rich for fragrance of conifers and alpine freshness. They admire beautiful landscapes, wild animals and birds of prey which are numerous here, as well as cows and goats that graze happily in the meadows. The landscapes that appear are astonishingly fantastic in perfection and some unreality. It seems that the pictures that appear before the eyes are something like a fine art paintings once seen in a museum, or exquisite wallpapers from your computer desktop.

The visit to the Alpes de Haute Provence Department gives an incredible aesthetic pleasure from what you see, a lot of positive, a surge of energy and a sense of unity with nature.

So do not hesitate, and go on a journey as soon as possible and dive into a fairy tale called «Provence»!
