Opéra de Nice
Type - Architecture, Monuments
In the famous Opera House of Nice during its existence many no less well-known artists and composers appeared (Hector Berlioz, Jules Emile Frédéric Massenet, Montserrat Caballé, José Carreras, Placido Domingo, Dmitri Hvorostovsky). In due time Johann Strauss conducted the orchestra here and the Russian Emperor Alexander II listened to opera.

Hotel Negresco
Type - Architecture, Monuments
In the heart of Nice, on the Promenade des Anglais, you will immediately notice the building of Hôtel Negresco (luxury hotel «Negresco» with white walls and a pink dome) built in neoclassical style and having long become a kind of «architectural symbol» of the Côte d’Azur and Nice.

Mount Boron Park
Type - Architecture, Nature
Mount Boron Park is a great vacation place in the resort of Nice (it is rightly called the «green lungs» of the city).

Parc Phœnix
Type - Architecture, Monuments, Botanical Garden, Nature
Arriving in Nice be sure to visit the Parc Phœnix (Phoenix Park) (especially if travelling with children). The fact is that here you can see not only the beautiful and rare plants, but also a variety of exotic animals and birds. The park has a playground for children, also they will surely like a musical fountain which «plays» wonderful Viennese waltzes.

Type - Architecture, Monuments
In Nice, there is a place with a very serious-sounding name - the Place du Palais de la Justice (Palace Square of Justice). However, the presence of two public authorities (the Court of Nice - the Palais de la Justice and the Tribunal de première instance (Court of First Instance)) has no impact on the «relaxing» Mediterranean atmosphere of the Vieille Ville (Old Town). Near the court building and police cars next to it, people walk so quietly across the square, sitting at cafe tables or examining junk dealers’ counters...
