Palais du Roure
One of the most interesting attractions of Avignon is Palais du Roure (which was built in the XV century). He has two more titles: Museum Baroncelli (Musée Baroncelli) and Baroncelli-Javon Hotel (l’Hôtel de Baroncelli-Javon).




The Abbey of Montmajour
The Abbey of Montmajour, whose name sounds like music, is located near the historic town of Arles.




Musée International de la Parfumerie
In the small town of Grasse, which can rightly be called the «cradle» of the art of perfumery and a «showcase» of the French perfume industry, there are two Museums of Perfumery. (However, one of them, located in a former perfume factory, belongs to a single famous brand of perfume - Fragonard).




Musée Cantini
Speaking about the sights of Marseille it would be a great omission not to mention the Musée Cantini (Cantini Museum). (Where the one of the largest public collections of French modern art which mainly reflects the period from 1900 to 1960 is kept).





Palais du Pharo
Palais du Pharo located in the western part of Marseille (near the Old Port) has an interesting history.




Musée Matisse
Henri Matisse Museum in Nice is one of the most visited museums in the city. The museum was opened in Nice (Cimiez district) 9 years after the artist's death in 1954. (In Cimiez Matisse lived for about forty years, he was buried here). Nice became for him a city which the artist having «discovered» it immediately loved.




National Museum of the Marine of Toulon
There are several museums in France that are dedicated to the history of military or civilian fleet. One of them, having the status of a national, is located in the capital, the others are in the port cities (La Rochelle, Brest, Toulon).




Palais Lascaris and the Musical Instrument Museum
The Rue Droite in Nice is a place of location the Palais Lascari, one of the most interesting sights of the Old Town. Unfortunately, the street is too narrow to being there examine and evaluate the beauty of the building.




Palais Masséna et Musée d’art et d’histoire
Palais Masséna («the Massena Palace», which currently houses the exhibition of Musée d’art et d’histoire («the Art and History Museum») (free admission for visitors), is located in the city center of Nice.

Museum - Notre Provence Group
