Saint-Ruf Abbey
In Avignon, it is worth to take a look at the ancient Saint-Ruf Abbey located on the Moulin Notre-Dame Street recognized as a historical monument back in 1887. The monks the Order of St. Augustine founded in the XI century lived in the Abbey. (True, now the building is not in the best condition, it is partially destroyed).

Palais du Roure
One of the most interesting attractions of Avignon is Palais du Roure (which was built in the XV century). He has two more titles: Museum Baroncelli (Musée Baroncelli) and Baroncelli-Javon Hotel (l’Hôtel de Baroncelli-Javon).

Musée International de la Parfumerie
In the small town of Grasse, which can rightly be called the «cradle» of the art of perfumery and a «showcase» of the French perfume industry, there are two Museums of Perfumery. (However, one of them, located in a former perfume factory, belongs to a single famous brand of perfume - Fragonard).

Cours Mirabeau
One of the main streets of the city of Aix-en-Provence is named after Count Honoré de Mirabeau (which is known as a political activist since the Great French Revolution), who was born here.

Cannes Exhibition Centre in (Palais des Festivals de Cannes)
There is hardly an adult in the world who does not know about the most renowned building of Palais des Festivals in famous Cannes.

Musée Cantini
Speaking about the sights of Marseille it would be a great omission not to mention the Musée Cantini (Cantini Museum). (Where the one of the largest public collections of French modern art which mainly reflects the period from 1900 to 1960 is kept).

Palais du Pharo
Palais du Pharo located in the western part of Marseille (near the Old Port) has an interesting history.

Basilica of Saint-Michel-Archange
The largest building in the Baroque style on the French Riviera is the Basilica of Saint-Michel-Archange in Menton. The temple was built on the place where previously there were two religious buildings, and in the 18th century a bell tower was added nearby. (The Church of Saint-Michel-Archange obtained the status of the Basilica at the end of the last century from Pope John Paul II).

Grimaldi Forum
Monaco is now rightly called the latest congress centre of the third millennium. The Grimaldi Forum (fr. Grimaldi Forum) opened here in 2000 is one of the largest modern convention centres and unsurpassed «communication tool» (named in honour of the Grimaldi, the rulers of Monaco).

Architecture - Notre Provence Group

Provence is a great gift for all lovers of monuments of ancient architecture.
It is not possible to bring it into line with any other – it has an authentic spirit, it is distinctive, proud. Take a journey into the world of Provencal architecture which has its brightest representatives.

Provence is a province located in the south-eastern part of France. This is the world famous part of the region of Provence-Alpes- Côte d'Azur. Such departments as Vaucluse, Var and the Bouches-du-Rhône and their parts – the famous Alpes-Maritimes and Alpes de Haute Provence are situated in the historical Provence. The boundaries of the pearl of the Côte d'Azur pass through the territory of the Alps, the Mediterranean coast and the Rhône river. Provence became part of France in the 13th century. Marseille, the central city of this famous province, appeared back in the 6th century BC.

All the parts of the historical city have its own unique climate and nature. This explains the fact that travellers from other countries visit the province with the aim to go skiing or sunbathing on the landscaped beach. Also the historical monuments, beautiful parks, magnificent vineyards, gastronomic delights boggle the imagination in Provence.

The cities having their uniqueness are concentrated in Provence. The city of Arles appeared before our era, there is the oldest architectural landmark there – the city Arelate. It has Roman amphitheatre functioning up to this day, Roman thermae, the ruins of the gorgeous imperial castle, Alyscamps necropolis. Arelate is one of UNESCO World Heritage sites. Tourists can visit the famous bullfight in Arles, called by locals «the tauromachy».

In Nîmes you are awaited by the amphitheatre very similar in appearance to the famous Coliseum, the Maison Carré temple, the Diana's temple, part of the aqueduct.

The attractions of Avignon with a rich history include monasteries, churches and cathedrals. Just take Notre-Dame-de-Dôme alone which was built in the 12th century. On Sundays the bell-ringing is always heard from all the chapels.

In the town of Aix-en-Provence there are unique churches and cathedrals that appeared in the distant 15th-16th centuries. The Madeleine Church keeps the most valuable icons by Rubens. And a meeting with the true Gothic style awaits everyone in the church of Saint-Jean-de-Malte.
