Provencal herbs are known throughout the world for their culinary properties – this is an absolutely unique composition of spices!
The nutritional properties and hale of Provencal herbs mix are difficult to overestimate – not coincidentally this seasoning became a real culinary discovery in the southeast of France. And let alone that such well-known gourmets as the French can be trusted in matters of taste!
For those who are not familiar yet with Provencal herbs their taste has a hot-spicy savour. And it just is amazing that it harmonizes both with meat, fish dishes (and also poultry) and vegetables – the herbs used here as an additive to sauces. In Provence the herbs are added even savoury pies.

It would be wrong to say that the birthplace of these plants is namely Provence. (In this region the housewives not without reason called a mixture of Provencal herbs a «magic potion». Sure! With their help they can create a culinary masterpiece from virtually any, even the most «simple» dish!)
It is worth noting, however, that Provencal cooks always have a possibility to use fresh flavouring herbs (such a repertory, of course, significantly excels the dried mixture in flavour and aroma intensity).
We also (if not too lazy) will be able to grow a necessary «potion» even in winter in our own home - in pots. (Then our meals with the addition of aromatic herbs will taste exactly the same as that of French chefs!).
Speaking of Provence herbs let’s note not only their taste characteristics, but their ability to emphasize and enhance the taste of dishes. In addition to these advantages the «Provencal mix» also has very beneficial properties for our health. (To help us here are vitamins and minerals, organic acids and enzymes, tannins and essential oils contained in these herbs).
