Provence looks like a huge museum –you can’t manage to see everything in just one visit! And to see its most beautiful corners and small charming villages, one should probably spare more time, they are worth it!

We suggest your making a tour of wonderful tiny villages, which seem to catch the rocks with effort; they are amazingly bright against the background of the turquoise sea in the bays. Among scent-laden lavender fields, surrounded by valleys and vineyards, there are the most beautiful villages of Provence: Ansouis, Vaison-la-Romaine, Venasque, Gordes, L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Roussillon, Les Baux-de-Provence.

Here one can at last enjoy the stillness, quiet and beauty of these colouful settlements, far from the noisy coast and big cities. Each small village is different from other ones, with its own atmosphere, colours, aromas, tastes!

Do switch on all your five senses to the full and …

Touch hot sun-warmed stones, cool leaves of olive trees, plunge your hands into the blue-water fountain.

Admire, make photos and videos!

The play of sun and shadow on the walls of old small houses and the sides of huge stones, the flowery lavender-fields in deep-lilac, picturesque streets, breath-taking landscapes – one can take all this along, enlarging your photo-collection.

And now let’s breathe in with the full breast this wonderful fresh air, full of the scents of lavender, juniper, rosemary, thyme, olive trees! Having breathed deeply and felt intoxicating Provence aromas, let’s remember them and try the taste of gifts of nature and sea.

Green and black olives as an appetizer, wonderful wines and most various local dishes (say, anchovies and the famous fish-soup ‘bouillabaisse’ or ‘la tapenade’- the dish made of anchovies, caper berries and olives, or simply vegetables baked in clay pots). You’ll never forget the taste!

Having a rest after a delicious meal, let’s listen to the sounds of this compact world: folk songs in Provence dialect and the voices of balm crickets, the sound of fountains’ water and the whisper of the wind in the trees…

And now, remembering your wonderful trip, you should only close your eyes – and you’ll see, hear and sense Provence again!
