In Beaulieu-sur-Mer the struggle for the reconstruction of the hotel "Metropol" between traders and neighbors at that prevent its reconstruction, opening and introduction of the trade, is ongoing.

As stated by merchants, " our city has a great chance to revive and develop the live trade, bring it to a new level," and it "incomprehensible that the hotel building is still the object of ferocious attacks by the neighbors."
