Ikea furniture hypermarket filed a lawsuit against the Marseille’s business associations En toute franchise.
Dissatisfaction of giant Ikea is increasing day by day. Recently the largest furniture hypermarket Ikea has filed a lawsuit against the Association of Entrepreneurs of Marseille “En toute franchise”. The fact that the group is opposed the construction of Ikea Furniture Store in Nice. They recently filed a lawsuit in the Court of Appeal of Marseille to cancel the building permit and prove that the rights of traders have been violated. Ikea management was shocked by business association’s action. In connection with the situation, the leadership of the hypermarket has decided to appeal to the Supreme Court of Nice and demand from En toute franchise the damages in the amount of 152 000 euros. Remember that September 15, 2016 the corporation Ikea has received a permission to build a store in Nice. It has become the fifth city in France, where the famous hypermarket furniture is. Future hypermarket promises to create 350 jobs in the territory of 54 000 m², with shops and offices. Investments involve about 110 million euros only for Ikea.
