At the International blind wine tasting competition Revue de Vin de France China was the best team. They showed the best knowledge of French wines and l with the score of 108 points left "behind" the French team of experts.
Last weekend in La Londe-les-Maures, in a wonderful castle of Сhâteau du Galoupet, the world championship in blind tasting took place. 84 tasters from around the world took part in it – from the United States, Italy, China, Spain, France, Japan, Argentina, and Belgium. Total it included the representatives from 21 countries. The team consisted of 4 people plus coach. Each team had to blindly identify 12 types of wine - 6 white and 6 red in 15 minutes, calling the grape variety, vintage year, the name of the wine, and finally the country of origin. Nobody expected that the result will be such a surprise. The Chinese team, gaining 108 points, won the championship. Congratulations!
Next year the International blind wine tasting competition Revue de Vin de France will take place in Burgundy. Will be China the chief taster? Let's wait and see.
