The Ecomuseum of Saint-Léger can be also called an «asylum (shelter) for animals» and a «live» collection demonstrating the natural resources of the region – the mountain flora.
The unique Ecomuseum surprises the visitors with its interactive exhibition, as well as with a diverse array of entertainments – game, scientific and artistic. For example, «Build a Shelter for Birds», «Believe in Bogies» or «Draw butterflies with watercolour!»
Created thanks to the activities of two collectors and residents of the village, Joseph Bonnet et Jean Brenière, the «Asylum» for animals is also a temporary exhibition for the entire season, a natural store (this facility is included in the ecomuseums chain of Champsaur-Valgaudemar).
